‘Unleash the beast’
Nightbitch is a 2024 darkly comedic horror film about a woman who pauses her career to be a stay-at-home mom. However, she becomes increasingly aware of the bizarre and undeniable signs that she may be turning into a canine.
The movie was directed by Marielle Heller (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) from a screenplay by Rachel Yoder based on her own novel.

Director Marielle Heller has commented: “Rachel Yoder’s book took my breath away. I haven’t felt this way about [a] book since I read The Diary of a Teenage Girl many years ago. Rachel’s darkly hilarious tale of motherhood and rage made me feel seen.”

Nighbitch originally going to be released straight-to-streaming on Hulu, but the strong reception from test screenings prompted Searchlight Pictures to give it a wide theatrical release instead.
