King Serpent Island is a 2021 horror film about the Snake King’s descendant who teams up with an animal protection expert to fight against a black market snake hunting gang hired by real estate developers.
Directed by Huanxiang Chen (Fate of Devil: Devastation; Man-Eating Shark aka White Shark; Monkey King: The One and Only; Snake King; Desperate Anger City) [also known as Joshua Chan] from a screenplay co-written with Gao Jin [as Gao Feng].
The Xiang Bros Studios-iQIYI co-production stars Liu Lincheng, Shao Yun, Wang Hongqian, Guo Ye, Rong Weifeng, Wu Hao, Fa Cai, Xu Daning, Jin Yun, Lie Jiang, Biao Zi, Ba Man, Wang Zhigang and Er Bing.
Plot:
Chen Zheng (Liu Lincheng), a retired special soldier and snake data expert goes to King Serpent Island looking for a huge “Titan Python” that was assumed to be extinct 59 million years ago. He is accompanied by animal protection expert Zhou Xiaoxiao (Shao Yun) and his online influencer friend Ma Fen (Rong Weifeng).
Unexpectedly, they met sadistic snake poachers led by Jin Laosi, the Fourth Master of Jin (Wang Hongqian). While the Titan Python is laying eggs, the two groups have an intense fight…
