Coming into the 2024 NFL Draft, all the buzz was about the talented young quarterbacks coming into the league, with USC superstar Caleb Williams dominating the headlines and being dubbed the best player in this draft class before taking a snap on the NFL level.
Six weeks into the 2024 NFL regular season, the narrative might be changing, with No. 2 overall pick Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders proving that he’s the real deal and might be better than Williams or at least in the same conversation in terms of having a promising career in the league.
Coming into Week 6, Daniels and the Commanders faced their toughest challenge yet, going head-to-head against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.
Although the Commanders weren’t able to come out on top in this game and suffered their second loss of the season, Washington seems to be a real threat in the NFC this year, with their rookie quarterback believing his team can compete this season via JP Finlay of NBC4 Sports.
“We’re right there,” Daniels said. “We’re gonna fight. We’re not going anywhere.”

As long as Daniels can continue to play like the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year while helping the Commanders win games this season, Washington could be a real threat in their conference and might be able to win the NFC East division title.
Despite the fact that there’s a lot of football left to be played, the Commanders seem to be in the playoff picture in the NFC this year.
