Tigers coach Benji Marshall has declared changes will be made if his troops can’t turn their poor discipline around.
On Friday night against the Dragons, the Tigers gave away several soft penalties and errors at crucial moments in the game.
In the second half, Jayden Sullivan was sin binned for a professional foul. While he was off, the Dragons scored twice.
They led 14-12 at the break, but barely threatened in the second half to concede 44 unanswered points. They had just 28 per cent possession and completed only four of 11 sets in the second half.
“We seem to say the same thing every week, which is unfortunate,” Marshall told media after the game.
“We gave ourselves every opportunity – we had a week off, freshened up. We started with a lot of energy, led 14-12 at halftime.
“To have 20 per cent of the ball, and have as many errors as what we did – schoolboy errors, to be honest – (it’s) unacceptable.
“And now discipline … it is just hurting us. We find someone to get sin binned every week, give away silly penalties, we lose our head.
“Unfortunately, we’re in a position where we can’t do that to ourselves, and we do.
“I’ll say it again, if the actions don’t change, then the players have to change. It’s unacceptable.”
