Indie pop band Frankie Cosmos has announced their sixth studio album, Different Talking, which will be released by Sub Pop on June 27, 2025. The Greta Kline–led band has also released a music video for the first single ‘Vanity’, which she directed from footage co-shot with bandmate Alex Bailey.

Frankie Cosmos’ current lineup comprises lead singer and songwriter Kline, plus aforementioned Alex Bailey, Katie Von Schleicher, and Hugo Stanley. The band produced the album themselves for the first time without an external producer. In a press release, Von Schleicher said: “We’d go to any length to get Greta’s songs right, and she’s generous with songs, so we have a lot of freedom to arrange them. It’s a rare talent to have, with rare freedom given, and the course hasn’t changed.”

Greta Kline is the daughter of actors Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates.
