Reviews:
“In a world where survival is a daily battle, Die Alone stands out as a gripping tale of resilience, memory, and the enduring human spirit. With its unique take on the post-apocalyptic genre, stellar cast, and atmospheric direction, the film is sure to leave a lasting impression on audiences. Whether you’re a fan of horror, thrillers, or character-driven stories, Die Alone promises to deliver an unforgettable cinematic experience.” Hollywood Movies
” …Die Alone shows that Dean is willing to experiment with different forms of storytelling and different tones to achieve a more personal and emotional story through Ethan’s struggles. However, his efforts struggle to reach the film’s full potential and results in a slightly derivative version of its influences. That being said, horror audiences with more patience will be satisfied with Dean’s take on a zombie film that leans into the heavy presence of Moss and Grillo to guide audiences through its twists and turns from its different perspective.” 70% Keith Loves Movies
“Die Alone focuses not just on the physical threats posed by the reclaimed but also on the mental, emotional, and psychological toll of surviving and living in a world where the environment is both your best friend and your worst enemy. And that’s what makes it so terrifying: knowing that we are this close to some sort of scenario where the planet lets us know it has had enough of our shit and starts purging itself from mankind’s destruction. Some might even say it has already begun.” ★★★★ Loud and Clear
“On the surface, Die Alone is a typical zombie apocalypse film. However, despite the film featuring some very impressive creature effects for “The Reclaimed,” who appear as a cross between skeletons and trees, Die Alone is a more human story. The main mystery of the film involves the amnesia experienced by the protagonist Ethan and it is no coincidence that Memento star Carrie-Ann Moss was cast as the mysterious survivalist woman Mae…” ★★★★ Sean Kelly on Movies
“What Dean has crafted is a horror film, but at its heart is a message about love, loss, loneliness and the way memories both good and bad can stay with us, either haunting us or giving us the strength to keep going. And perhaps more importantly, what we will do to hold on to love and happiness, even if it is only a memory [..] Dean has assembled an excellent cast, with both the big names and veteran character actors delivering solid performances.” ★★★★ Voices from the Balcony
