Diabolic is a 2025 horror film about a woman’s hope for a miracle cure which turns into a nightmare when she confronts the vengeful spirit of a cursed witch, determined to claim her as a vessel for her evil power.
The movie was directed by Daniel J. Phillips (The Red Book Ritual; Awoken) from a screenplay co-written with Mike Harding based on a storyline by Harding, Ticia Madsen and Daniel J. Phillips.
The Empire Road Pictures-SunJive Studios co-production stars Elizabeth Cullen, John Harlan Kim, Mia Challis, John Harlan Kim,
Genevieve Mooy and Robin Goldsworthy.
Plot:
A woman participates in a healing ceremony conducted by the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints (FLDS), aimed to relieve her of her unexplained blackouts. During the ceremony, they unwittingly unleash the demonic spirit of a witch, determined to take revenge on all those who have wronged her…
Deadline reports that “First footage of the film will be unveiled to buyers by Film Bridge International’s After Dark label at the upcoming American Film Market (AFM) in Las Vegas.”
Co-writer-director Daniel J. Phillips commented: “We’ve tried to imbue every frame with dread and create something that audiences can really sink their teeth into. It’s relentless, unsettling, and everything I’ve ever wanted to bring to the horror genre. Get ready, because this is the kind of horror that stays with you.”
