Just two years ago, the Jacksonville Jaguars looked like a rising team.
Doug Pederson’s arrival set them straight after a dark and brief tenure with Urban Meyer.
They won the division and even a playoff game, and some experts considered them a dark horse Super Bowl contender last season.
Not only was that not the case, but they also ended the season on a low note.
They haven’t bounced back so far, and with a 2-7 record after nine weeks, it seems like they could be better off planning for the upcoming campaign.
That’s why NFL analyst Pete Prisco doesn’t think Trevor Lawrence should return next season.

Talking on CBS Sports, he pointed out that Lawrence played through the same injury last season, adding that he would probably play through it again this time if the team were in contention.
He claimed the Jaguars are a disaster from top to bottom, so Lawrence should do whatever is best for him.
He encouraged him to have surgery and shut it down for the season, adding that the Jaguars needed to start over.
Prisco believes the Jaguars, who already committed to Lawrence with that big contract extension they gave him, need to fire Pederson and GM Trent Baalke and build a new regime around their quarterback’s skill set.
Lawrence hasn’t always shown that he can be the player everybody hopes and expects him to be, but they might not have much of a choice at this point.
