Jibraan Khan, who recently made his debut as one of the leading men in the romcom Ishq Vishk Rebound, is opening up on being an assistant director in Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva. In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, the actor called it an “unreal” experience and dished about the lessons learnt from the star cast and director Ayan Mukerji throughout filming.
Jibraan said, “Brahmastra was the biggest film school I could ever go to. I was blessed to work on it. The first shot or ‘muhurat’ shot was Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s, where Ranbir was stopping the fire and Alia was hugging him. I was giving clap for it and Ayan Mukerji made me comfortable.”
Speaking further, he added that the incredible star cast were professional and had great behaviour on set. ” Working with Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy made me understand why they are such big stars. They are so disciplined and professional,” he added.
Jibraan also opened up on Ranbir and Alia’s equation during filming. He said, “I think Ranbir and Alia were even dating while they were shooting the film, but they were so professional on set. It’s unreal. I can’t put it to words.”
