Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis ended this past weekend with two wins! On Saturday (June 15), he successfully defended his title as WBA lightweight champion against Frank Martin. Then, on Father’s Day, Vanessa Posso, the mother of his second child, announced that they are expecting another baby!
They welcomed their first child together, Giovanna Thalia, in October 2021. At the time, he already had another child, a daughter named Gervanni, with former girlfriend Andretta Smothers.
Vanessa Posso Reveals Baby #2 With Gervonta Davis
As mentioned, Vanessa shared the life update on Sunday via Instagram. She posted behind-the-scenes footage of what appears to be a recent maternity shoot.
In the videos, she’s wearing at least two different dresses, highlighting her popping baby bump! She didn’t explicitly name Davis in the posts and also didn’t share any Father’s Day notes for him. However, she included a mini picture of her and Giovanna with the caption, “Baby G 2.0.”

Meanwhile, Gervonta hasn’t publicly reacted to the baby news. Instead, it seems he’s been riding the high of defending his title. The boxer knocked Martin out in the eighth round. It had been about 14 months since his last fight, making the break the longest in his career so far, per USA Today.
Tank Previously Accused Vanessa Posso Of Dipping His Toothbrush In Poop
Reactions to Vanessa Posso’s bun in the oven have been all over the place, particularly given their rocky public history. Days after Christmas in 2022, Florida police arrested Tank on battery and assault charges.
Vanessa had dialed 911, screaming for help and alleging her life was in danger. Even though she didn’t name the boxer during the call, fans quickly put two and two together after his arrest news hit the internet. Upon his release, he shared photos, accusing Posso of smearing baby poop on his toothbrushes, writing “liar” and “cheater” on a bathroom mirror in black ink, smashing a glass door and ripping his shirt.
Additionally, Gervonta Davis shared a lengthy statement denying that he “put hands” on Vanessa or their daughter. Soon after his statement, Posso also spoke out online, admitting that she made “an unnecessary call to law enforcement in an intense moment.” She admitted that their relationship was in a “fragile space,” and she was “frantic” when she called the cops.

Florida prosecutors dropped the DV case against Tank in May 2023 after Vanessa refused to press charges. She and Davis had reportedly agreed that he’d take an anger management course and parenting class. Prosecutors dropped the case after confirming that he completed both, per TMZ.
