Recent news surfaced about Cincinnati Bengals Pro Bowl quarterback Joe Burrow’s house being broken into while he was playing on Monday Night Football in Dallas.
Amidst that and other security concerns around the league, Miami Dolphins franchise quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has decided to hire personal security.
The former national champion spoke about that in front of the Miami media on Wednesday.
“I have personal security…Just let that be known, they are armed…I hope if you decide to go to my house, you think twice,” Tagovailoa said.

Tagovailoa also noted how one of his cars at his home was recently broken into.
Burrow and Tagovailoa are not the first faces of the NFL to have their houses broken into or be put at risk.
Earlier this season, Lions head coach Dan Campbell was forced to move houses because his address was put out onto the internet for people to see.
This is the darker side somewhat of sports.
While it is great that fans care deeply about football, they can sometimes make the mistake of letting their emotions get the best of them if a player or team upsets them in some way.
Regardless, it is smart that Tagovailoa, a very high-profile player, made the call to hire personal security just to be on the safer side of things.
Time will tell if other players and coaches around the league decide to follow suit or not.
