A New Jersey woman took off her top and voted in her bra after election workers told her that she couldn’t wear a MAGA hat and a Trump t-shirt at the polls. The incident took place 0n October 26 at a firehouse in Hamilton Township when the woman went to cast her early ballot. An election officer told her that he could hold her place in the line but she instantly took off her shirt and shouted, “S**k my c**t”.
“This is why I vote Trump,” the woman said when the election officer called the police. But the woman by the time cast her ballot and left. The woman has not been identified.
New Jersey’s election law bans any political gear that can be read or viewed to identify support or opposition of a candidate.
The post about the incident has been deleted by the user but before that GOP VP candidate JD Vance reacted to it and called the woman ‘patriot’. Vance was trolled for encouraging “trash behaviour”. “She calls one poll worker a d***head and rips her shirt off. She told another poll worker to ‘such her c**t’ and this is the reason she votes Trump,” the now-deleted post read.
“As a poll worker, I find your comment reprehensible. We have rules. and laws. If you are not interested in people following those, you shouldn’t be running to be a part of the government. See yourself out to Russia. We won’t miss your type,” an X user wrote reacting to Vance’s comment.
“As a poll worker, we are trained to keep all political gear out of the polling areas In Texas, no political gear can be within 100 feet of a polling place JD Vance is encouraging the harassment of poll workers for simply doing their jobs,” another wrote.
“No, attacking poll workers for doing their jobs is not patriotic. And these rules have existed for decades in both blue and red states,” another post said.
