My lip gloss is poppin’, my lip gloss is cool… my lip gloss is less than ten dollars! 😉 That’s right, my friends. We set out on a mission to find the best under $10 gloss on the market and it’s safe to say we weren’t disappointed! In fact, we had a hard time choosing just one favorite. Color me impressed! Whether you prefer something highly pigmented or a sheer gloss, we’ve got you [and your lips!] covered. Pucker up, buttercup! These are the best lip glosses under $10!
Note: We know picking the perfect shade online can be tricky. While we’re linking to Amazon for easy check out, you can find most of these brands at Target, Ulta, or your local drugstore – in case you want to peruse the shades in person! PS you can find more LIY beauty product reviews here!
This feels like NYX’s more mature, cool older sister. It goes on silky smooth and feels super hydrating. It’s not overly pigmented, but not too sheer, and feels like the “just right” amount of coverage. We loved the shade 306 Taupe Luster on several different skin tones!
If you’re truly looking for a pop of color from your gloss [not just a sheer shiny layer] Maybelline Lifter Gloss is your girl! She’s shiny, hydrating [shoutout Hyaluronic Acid!] and the most pigmented of the brands we tested. It goes on smooth and doesn’t feel sticky at all. For $10, we’re giving it our stamp of approval! We went with the shade 005 Petal.
The “Ol’ Reliable” of lip gloss. Five out the six women who tested already own this gloss – it’s that popular! While we didn’t have any complaints about the product [it’s a great gloss for the price!] we might’ve discovered others we preferred over this brand. The coverage is pretty subtle so it’s great on it’s own or layered over a lipstick. If you’ve never tried it before, it’s worth a shot! It’s the most budget friendly of the brands we tested [listed at just $5] and it’s available in over 40+ shades! We’d recommend the shade Tiramisu.
The e.l.f. Lip Oil belongs in it’s own category! You won’t get much color from these, but where they lack in pigment, they make up for in shine and hydration! If you’re a clear gloss girlie or want the ultra-shiny look, we were impressed with this $8 product. Fun fact: it’s internet famous for being a Dior Lip Oil dupe which is $40! Note: it does have a minty scent that reminded some of us of nail polish remover.
Out of all the brands we tried, this was the only gloss we just couldn’t get on board with. While we love a lot of Milani products, this Lip Plumper was not one of them. It claims to be “nourishing”, but we felt it was a bit heavy and drying as it settled into alllll the cracks making our lips looked dried and chapped. It felt more like a liquid lipstick that we wanted to apply another layer of gloss over… from a different brand. To make matters worse, the shade Soft Rose wasn’t doing any of us any favors. Sorry Milani, we’d skip this one.
