BREAKING NEWS: ACTIVE SHOOTER REPORTED INSIDE YOUTUBE HEADQUARTERS

An active shooter has been reported to be inside of the headquarters of the video posting giant YouTube whose offices are located in  San Bruno, California. San Bruno PD is warning citizens of police activity in the area around 901 Cherry Avenue and asking people to “please stay out of the area.”

YouTube employee Vadim Lavrusik posted on Twitter that he was hearing shots and had taken refuge in a locked room with an undisclosed number of other YouTube employees.

“Active shooter at YouTube HQ. Heard shots and saw people running while at my desk. Now barricaded inside a room with coworkers.”

Just 8 minutes later Vadim Lavrusik again Tweeted “Safe. Got evacuated it. Outside now.”

He was immediately accosted on Twitter by a reporter from an online journal (Not it) about giving an interview to that reporter on the situation inside the building but Lavrusik replied, “If you’re a friend in news, I know you are doing your job and appreciate you reaching out to check if I’m okay but the last thing I want to do is an interview right now. We are all shakin up.”

Authorities in San Bruno have confirmed the identity of the woman who walked into the corporate headquarters of YouTube as Nasim Aghdam; this according to ABC NEWS sources in San Bruno.

The female shooter was pronounced dead at the scene of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a methodical search of the complex by San Bruno PD. Police officials have determined that the event was the result of an ongoing “domestic situation.”
